London based singer/songwriter Charles Watson has announced the release of his debut solo album, “Now That I’m A River.” Watson, whose musical credits include being half of indie pop duo Slow Club and also a member of garage-rock group The Surfing Magazines, will be releasing the record on 18th May via Moshi Moshi Records.

To mark this much anticipated news, Watson is currently streaming squirmy retro-pop number, “Abandoned Buick”(watch below), the second single to be taken from the album following the release of track “No Fanfare” which premiered on BBC 6 Music.

Watson is also set to play his new material live on 15th February at Hackney’s Institute Of Light twice on the same night. Tickets for this event are available here.
