What is Record Store Day?

Record Store Day is the one day of the year when over 240 independent record shops all across the UK come together to celebrate their unique culture. Special vinyl releases are made exclusively for the day and many shops and cities host artist performances and events to mark the occasion. Thousands more shops celebrate the day around the globe in what’s become one of the biggest annual events on the music calendar.

Normally held on the 3rd Saturday in April every year, in 2021 it will be taking place across 2 dates: Saturday 12th June & 17th July because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

How do fans get hold of the releases?

Fans are advised to visit https://recordstoreday.co.uk/stores/ in advance to find their local participating shop. All RSD releases are sold in-store only and on a first come first served basis, so we recommend heading out early so as not to miss out!
