it has been composed for and recorded during a series of nights in Summer 2022 in the Cologne Cathedral, one of the world’ most iconic and beautiful buildings.
A few years back we got invited by the Cathedral’s Master Builder Peter Füssenich to play a concert at the 700 years festivities for the Choir which has been consecrated in 1322. It was hard back then to believe that it would really take place and still feels kind of unreal that all this really happened. We wrote new music specifically composed for the phenomenal acoustics of this place. Time after time we learned how to deal with the enormous reverberation time and the pieces came together.”
