Independent Label Market

On Saturday over 250 of the worlds best indie labels all journey to Paris for this years Independent Label Market.

Independent Label Market launched on Berwick St in May 2011 and has since curated events in New York, LA, Canada, and across the UK. & Europe. The event pays homage to the hard work indie labels put year in year out. The aim of the game is for indie labels to sell their latest vinyl directly to the public in a slightly old fashioned way Рat a market stall. In an industry where a digital strategy is increasingly becoming more prominent, Independent Label Market encourages a social approach to music retail where consumers can talk to their favourite labels and other like-minded vinyl fans. A sense of community flourishes at Independent Label Market where companies share knowledge and support with each other and buying records is reestablished as an exciting and social event.

This year the event takes place at 48 rue Vieille du Temple, 75004 Paris. It’s 100% free entry (no silly entrance fees) and you can find food stalls, pop up bars galore! The market offers test pressings, special limited edition vinyl and many other goodies you’ll only be able to grab on the day. There will be DJ sets from 11 on wards and you’ll find fantastic labels such as City Slang and K7! at this years market.

You’ll also be able to meet our other good friends below so don’t forget to say hello over a pint!
