As a songwriter, I find that there are the inevitable love and heartache songs that naturally becomes written. ‘Leave Me Out’ is one of these songs – with the overall feeling of helplessness and apathy towards the pain caused by staying in an unhealthy relationship, this song was written with the clarity of hindsight. With help from producer Tom Bellis (Scoop Monty), the sound is meant to capture just that sore helplessness from being stuck in something toxic, as well as the feeling of betrayal and anger that finally reaches the surface coming out of it.
